Kuwaiti Desgins: ByUno

It took me almost 3 years to look for the “perfect” hoodie. I’ve been to many different stores, and I even tried looking online. Still I wasn’t able to find something that I liked. You might be asking yourself what makes a “perfect” hoodie? There are so many things that I was looking in a hoodie. First, I was searching for quality, not only by design but that in the winter months it can make me feel super warm. The second factor was that the hoodie would be long enough to wear with leggings. 😀

Yes I did found the so called PERFECT HOODIE! That was after 3 years of looking around for something that I’d like :p. I know this seems funny but hey we all get picky on certain things :p.

The hoodie that I bought was from a Kuwait designer that goes under the name ByUno. The hoodie that I got from them kept me warm as I was sick, it was super comfy. The design and quality is AMAZING! ByUno has unique designs, they inspire from high end designers; Cartier, Hermes and more! They use unique ways that they insert them on their T-shirts and hoodies they I ashore YOU will FALL in LOVE with them! ❤

Give MAC (Holiday) Haul Christmas GIFT!!

Every so on MAC comes out with a limited edition line, and it it’s always been amazing! Every line is so unique and different from the other with their AMAZING designs and colour. For this season (holiday) they came out with a line that I think we haven’t seen them do before. To start with the line and the advertisement seems like it came out of Chanel or LV (I’m not saying that it did). The makeup compacts look like mine clutches and wallets that you can carry around with you that a high-class designer would have come up with. Well MAC is a high-end makeup brand with FABOULSE products. When I went online a saw the new collection my reaction was “I NEED TO HAVE SOME!” I showed my mum the products and she said she would get them as a Christmas gift and SHE DID YAY ME!! 😀

Just to point out, I haven’t used any of these products still (I got them yesterday). When I do I’ll for sure make another blog post about them and how I feel about them. I think I’m going to LOVE them. Yet still I have to wait and see.

The MAC products

FABULOUSNESS eye-shadow pallets

The first thing I couldn’t wait to get my hands on was the FABULOUSNESS eye-shadow pallets. In this line they have 3 pallets; FABULOUSNESS 5 Warm Eyes, FABULOUSNESS 5 Neutral Eyes and the one I got FABULOUSNESS 5 Smokey Eyes (I just LOVE smoky). The great thing about these pallets is that each pallet comes in different colours, the Warm one peach, Neutral mint-green and the Smokey one is pink <3. I wanted to get the “mint” one just because green is my favourite colour, but then I was like no I have so many neutral colours :p.  As you can see that each pallet has 5 colours.

As I mentioned above, I just love their packaging for this collection. It’s SUPER cute, I’m already trying to come up with ideas on how I can use this compact when I run out the eye-shadow (that would be long time!). I love the soft-pink colour with the cute bow black bow (that’s removal). Plus all the colours are so CUTE and lovely I just can’t wait to try them out! Below you’ll find swatches of the eye-shadow and their names.

Lip products

The Viva Glam collection for 2012 is staring Nicki Minaj and Ricky Martin! The best thing about this line is that anything you purchase from it (there is only 3 products) would go to MAC Aids Fund to help those families that have been affected by Aids. That includes; men, women and children everywhere). MAC Aids Fund is a registered charity in the UK that helps all countries when needed. <3.

As I pointed out for this line MAC came out with 3 products and all of them are for lips. From this collection I got the “Viva Glam Nicki Lipstick” and the “Viva Glam Ricky Lip Conditioner. The only thing that I didn’t get was the “Viva Glam Nicky Lip-gloss” just because I don’t wear much lip-gloss to start with. With my purchase from this collection I got a free makeup bag that’s SO CUTE! It’s red-leopard print that I just LOVE.

Originally just wanted the lip conditioner from this collection, but then I saw that there was deal that if I got the lipstick with it, it would be cheaper. Plus I would get a CUTE makeup bag with it, and I really liked the colour. I can see Nicky Minaj wearing this colour it’s so here. I want to point out that the lip conditioner smells like vanilla (which I love), it’s so YUMMY (not for eating :p).

MAC Makeup Brushes

This line is so cute, with the makeup brushes you get a matching makeup brush bag for the brushes (that was a MOUTH FULL!). From this line there are 3 kits; PERFECTLY PLUSH BRUSH KIT Mineralized (brushes and bag are peach), PERFECTLY PLUSH BRUSH KIT Advanced (brushes and bag pink) and the one I got PERFECTLY PLUSH BRUSH KIT Essential (brushes and bag mint-green). That’s one of the main reason I chose the Essential Kit is because it’s GREEN my FAVOURIT colour <3. However, I also needed good quality travel brushed so when I am traveling I could take them with me. The good thing about this kit is that it comes with 5 BRUSHES, where the other kits only have 4 brushes for the same price. The kit also has the main brushes that I need on a daily bases!

Primers and Concealer!

photo (55)

From left to right:

  • Make up For Ever: HD High Definition Primer (Green)

There are many different primers out there for different reasons. The most famous ones are the primers that hide PORES. However due to hormones and the sun we get redness around our face, and that is when a GREEN primer becomes handy. I REALLY enjoyed using this primer under; tinted moisturizer, press-powder and concealer. It worked amazingly! Not only did it hide the redness on face but it kept my face SUPER hydrated. The plus thing about this is that a little dote goes a long way! When I run out of this product I have to RUN and get it AGAIN!! 😀

  • Sephora Concealer: Medium 07

I have so many concealers that it isn’t funny anymore :p. Anyway, I was at my friend’s house and I was applying makeup at her place, the only type of concealer she had was liquid. When I applied it under my eyes POP out more and gave more light under them. Not only that, because it was liquid it wasn’t very harsh to pat under the eyes. So when I was at Sephora I purchased a liquid concealer, it works great. Would I run to the store for this? No. Why? Because I found out that most liquid concealers do the same job that I’m looking for :P.

  • Too Faced: Shadow Insurance (anti-crease eye shadow primer)

No matter what brand of eye-shadow we are using sometimes it’s HARD to keep it in place all DAY. This is where an eye-shadow primer comes into place. I’ve been trying to get my hands on this primer for months; my local Sephora was out of stock. Now that I have it I REALLY DO LOVE IT! It works like WOW! It makes any eye-shadow true colour come out and it does prevent creasing. Another thing I found out was that it made cream eye-shadows dry FASTER! 😀

Grey Eye-shadows!

photo (56)

  • Sephero Eye shadow: intense black N*01  light and dark grey

Winter is here and I thought it would be nice to make a grey smoky-eye look. I wanted a grey that wasn’t matt but I didn’t want it have much glitter.  This is why I LIKED this pallet; the eye-shadows had a smooth stain finish but still a bit matt. I this grey pallet became my EVERDAY eye-shadow for winter! 😀

As I was shopping for make-up, I bumped into this SWEET glitter eye-shadows. My first insect was “I NEED TO TAKE THESE BABES HOME!” I loved the idea that in one paltte I was able to find 10 AMAZING different SUPER glittery eye-shadows that I can apply in an method to achieve any intensity of glitter I wanted. To make the glitter stand out the best method is to activate the eye-shadow with water and use a silicon make-up brush (look below). I love the quality and design of this pallet!

Makeup Haul and Review: Sephora (Part 1)

Early this month I went to Sephora, my plan was to buy an eye shadow palette from Two Faced but then I realised that I needed more make-up and ended up getting A LOT. It’s been ages since I went proper make up shopping! I’m the kind of girl that likes to try different types of make-up and the ones that I really like I would purchase again. So I thought this would be a GREAT opportunity to get some products that I haven’t tried in the past. This means that all the make-up that I got from Sephora are all my FIRST TIMERS. 😀

photo (63)

I couldn’t spend so much time in Sephora, my aunt was in a hurry to leave. YET I still had time (the knowledge of the store! :P) to get what I wanted. Plus they have really great customer service to help you track the products that you want faster.

Below you’ll see the things that I purchased. I’ll be even reviewing and telling you how I feel about each product. All of products I tried them out. Some I liked and some not so much, anyhow let me go and show you thee PRODUCTS!

Lipsy products!

photo (60)Products from left to right:

I won’t lie, I have so  many red lipstikes, but I can’t get enough of them! It’s a classy colour and it’s alwaya a lip colour that stays in fashion. This was the first time that I ever “MakUp ForEver” lipsticks, yet this deep red caught my eye. I thought it would be the perfect red for winter (I love reds and maroons for winter). The first time I wore this lipstike was when I was invited to a wedding and I was wearing a red dress, it went realy well. The colour lasted all night, for a mat colour it didn’t make my lips dry. Although it’s very rough to apply. Anyway I love this colour this is going to be my WINTER RED! ❤

photo (59)

Top is the lipstick on my LIPS
Bottom a SWATCH of the lipstick

  • Sephora lipstick (nude): N*04

Nude lipsticks aren’t really my thing. Everytime I buy one I don’t really like it, its very hard for me to find a nude lipstick that I woud like. On the other hand,  when I saw this lipstik I FEEL IN LOVE WITH IT! I loved it  becuase it had an under tone of light brown when I applied it that goes great with my skin. This colour is long lasting, to my schock that when I apply it, it give a glossy effect and it stays put the whole day. The one thing I didn’t like about it, it has this wirred smell (it isn’t a bad smell) I’m just picky with how make-up products smell. The reason is because I have dry skin and many products that have smells can dry up the skin. when I run out of this lipstick I’ll get is again. AT LAST I FOUND A NUDE LIPSTICK I LOVE! YAAAY! 😀

photo (51)

My LOVELY lipstick on the top
On the bottom the SWATCH of the lipliner and lipstick

  • Sephora lip-liner (nude): 05 native nude

As I mentioned above I am not a very big fan of nude lispsticks, and that goes for lipliners too. I never saw the reason of having or using on. Then I bought this lipstick and I thought it would be nice with nude lipstick that I got. The idea was use to use this lipliner to difine my lips to show the outerline of my lips without making it to visble. I think it did the job that I wanted it to. The thing that I don’t like about this lipliner is that the product is so little compaired to the price and other brans. Next time I would try to purchase a lipliner that has more product.

Eyelushes products!

photo (59)From left to right:

  • Sephora Liquid eyeliner: 01 Black

I bet we can all agree that liquid eyliner can be the hardest thing to apply. It can be sumdged eassyly when being applied. It can get on your eyelashes. It even can take a long time to dry out and it’s not very forgiving if you tried fixing your mistakes. Another thing, it’s been almost 2 years SINCE I’ve used liquide eyeliner. I found out that geleyeliner is faster to apply, but won’t give you that intens black that a LIQUID eyeliner would give.

  • Sephora Jumbo eyeliner: 13 marine

I never really liked BIG pencil-liners, I found that they are really hard to sharpen. Plus they tend to be very dry. So the reason why this liner captured my eyes beacues for a BIG pencil-liner it is SUPER CREAMY!

The Too Faced Eyedshadoe pallete!

photo (58)

As I mentioned above the reason why I wanted to go to Sephora was to buy the Too Faced eye-shadow pallet! The other day I was going through my makeup collection and I realised that I DIDN’T have much MATT eyes-shadows. Then I was like this is not good for a person that is starting out a MAKE-UP and FASHION blog/vlog. I then remembered a few weeks ago I saw some lovely eye-shadows at Sephora and then I was like HEY I NEED TO GET ONE OF THOSE!

This pallet contains 6 eye-shadows with 3 highlighting shadows. From top to bottom:

  • Day: Tufted Suede , Chinchilla, Coffee Bean

As the name implies I really liked these eye-shadows if I was going out during the day. I even saw myself going back to these eye-shadows as my go to colours if I wasn’t sure what I wanted to apply.

  • Classic: Velveteen Bunny, Pebbles, London Fog

Most of you know that the classic smoky-eyes has BLACKS and GREYS. So you can see why this line has those colours. I liked using them when I was going out during the afternoon and evening. During the evening I’d add some shimmer to give it more of an edgy look.

  • Fashion: Fresh Linen, Vintage Violet, Midnight

These colours gave the smoky-eye a WHOLE new meaning! I loved the idea of mixing PURPLE with GRYS, it was so much fun. It was perfect of the day out (if you just lighten the colours) and even for a NIGHT out. When I added glitter to it, it just made the eyes STAND OUT.

I liked all the colours and the intensity of them. They were easy to blend out and they stayed on for a long time even without a primer. Although, the primer did give them more definition to their colour. 😀 Swatches are on Part 2 of this blog.

Sorry because I was not able to post all the pictures on this blog I had to split them into 2 parts. Press this link Part 2 to continue this article.

Makeup Review: Benefit

In one of earlier posts Makeup Products from Benefit I talked about some products I bought from Benefit, and as promised I am going to review them now! I know that I’ve posted about the around 2 months ago, but hey I had to TRY the products more than once. I had to see how I felt about them and how they worked under different climate, makeup and how long they would last. So yah I needed to experiment with them to come up with my view and experience with these products. Just to point out I have been using Benefit for almost 3 years, then again this was the first time I used these specific products. On another note, Benefit is one of my favourite makeup BRANDS!

The productst that I am reviewing:

You Rebel (Lite)

You Rebel is a tinted moisturiser that contains SPF 15. It moisturises the skin very well and I felt that my skin was hydrated all day, and I wore it for more than 9 hours. However, if you have red areas around your face it won’t cover them. I found that when I used any kind of press-powder with this tinted moisturiser it doesn’t look cakey.Just to point out this product has a undertone smell of rose-water, well for me it isn’t a problem but I know there are girls that don’t like the smell of rose-water. I  ACTUALLY LIKE IT!  For girls that are interested in this product, it only comes in two shades; the one above that is the lighter shade and the other is the darker shade that comes in a red tube. The darker shade is for people that are tanned or it could work as a fake tanner. Would I buy this product again? Well I am not sure, I would like to look around more for a tinted moisturiser that has more coverage.

Erase Paste

I AM MADLY IN LOVE WITH IS CONCEALER! Just as the name implies ERASE, it does erase any blemishes on the face. The blemishes can be from read areas, dark circles and pimples that are on the face or neck. I used this product with; foundation, tinted moisturiser or directly on my skin and it worked great.I even found out that you don’t need to use press-powder for this concealer to set it in it sets in very well without it. On the other hand if I was going to a party or something I do use press-powder just in case :P. This concealer comes in 3 different shades; fair, medium and deep. I use fair because I like how I can even use it under my eyes to brighten them. Another AMAZING thing is that this concealer comes with a spatula so you don’t have to dip your fingers in. This is a concealer would be used for years to come!

Girl Meets Pearl

I decided to try this highlighter because many have recommended it. I have tried the other highlighters from Benefit High Beam and Moon Beam, the High Beam just like Girl Meets Pearl it is a pinkish highlighter, whereas the Moon Beam is more of a golden apricot color. I personally found that the Girl Meets Peal is more shimmery than High Beam and it’s more liquidly. It took me sometime before I actually tried this product in different settings. I realized that if I applied press-powder I can’t apply this product on top of it, it just won’t set on my face. Another thing I found was that this highlighter works best went I applied cream-blushes, or if I applied this product first before applying the powder-blushes. It worked well when I used this product directly onto my face and that a little goes a long way. On the side, I’m still not sure if I would get this product again, I need to see how I truly feel about it.

They’re Real

I bought this mascara for two motives; first because this product was recommended to me by many of my FRIENDS and second I wanted to try a different mascara. You see I constantly have a budget on how much I spend on makeup (because if I didn’t I’d go WILD!) so when it came to buy the mascara I had to look at something that was pocket friendly to me :p. Plus I wanted to get a mascara that wasn’t to heavy on the lashes and that I could use it as my daily mascara. THIS DID THE JOB! I liked the colour and on how black it was and the formula was light on the lashes. It gave a very natural look but at the same time gave them HIGH volume and INCREDIBLE length. Would I buy this mascara again? OF COURSE!

If you want to know more about Benefit makeup and products (click here). They always come up with amazing and ceative ideas for makeup that you just don’t see in other makup brands.

Makeup Products from Benefit

The other day I went to the mall to get a present for my mum’s birthday, a small gift for my dad and my friend wanted to do some shopping. What I need in a long sometime was some makeup, but I wanted some products that I haven’t tried that people have been talking about. Of course with the amount that I spent that day I had to keep a somewhat low budget for makeup! So I went into a makeup store and they had a Benefit counter, and that’s where I did my shopping. I only got 4 ITEMS!

The items above are the makeup that I bought. Starting from the left

  1. Tinted moisturizer called “YOU REBEL” in lite
  2. Concealer called “ERASE PASTE” in No. 1 fair
  3. Face highlighter called “GIRL MEETS PEARL”
  4. Mascara called “THEY’RE REAL!”

All of the makeup that is posted on this post is from Benefit and I spent my own money on them. This is the first time I will be using this products, they were RECOMANDED by many! As soon as I try them I will write a review about them and tell you what I think about these products that I am EXITED TO USE!
