Give MAC (Holiday) Haul Christmas GIFT!!

Every so on MAC comes out with a limited edition line, and it it’s always been amazing! Every line is so unique and different from the other with their AMAZING designs and colour. For this season (holiday) they came out with a line that I think we haven’t seen them do before. To start with the line and the advertisement seems like it came out of Chanel or LV (I’m not saying that it did). The makeup compacts look like mine clutches and wallets that you can carry around with you that a high-class designer would have come up with. Well MAC is a high-end makeup brand with FABOULSE products. When I went online a saw the new collection my reaction was “I NEED TO HAVE SOME!” I showed my mum the products and she said she would get them as a Christmas gift and SHE DID YAY ME!! 😀

Just to point out, I haven’t used any of these products still (I got them yesterday). When I do I’ll for sure make another blog post about them and how I feel about them. I think I’m going to LOVE them. Yet still I have to wait and see.

The MAC products

FABULOUSNESS eye-shadow pallets

The first thing I couldn’t wait to get my hands on was the FABULOUSNESS eye-shadow pallets. In this line they have 3 pallets; FABULOUSNESS 5 Warm Eyes, FABULOUSNESS 5 Neutral Eyes and the one I got FABULOUSNESS 5 Smokey Eyes (I just LOVE smoky). The great thing about these pallets is that each pallet comes in different colours, the Warm one peach, Neutral mint-green and the Smokey one is pink <3. I wanted to get the “mint” one just because green is my favourite colour, but then I was like no I have so many neutral colours :p.  As you can see that each pallet has 5 colours.

FABULOUSNESS 5 Smokey Eyes

As I mentioned above, I just love their packaging for this collection. It’s SUPER cute, I’m already trying to come up with ideas on how I can use this compact when I run out the eye-shadow (that would be long time!). I love the soft-pink colour with the cute bow black bow (that’s removal). Plus all the colours are so CUTE and lovely I just can’t wait to try them out! Below you’ll find swatches of the eye-shadow and their names.

VIVA GLAM

Lip products

The Viva Glam collection for 2012 is staring Nicki Minaj and Ricky Martin! The best thing about this line is that anything you purchase from it (there is only 3 products) would go to MAC Aids Fund to help those families that have been affected by Aids. That includes; men, women and children everywhere). MAC Aids Fund is a registered charity in the UK that helps all countries when needed. <3.

As I pointed out for this line MAC came out with 3 products and all of them are for lips. From this collection I got the “Viva Glam Nicki Lipstick” and the “Viva Glam Ricky Lip Conditioner. The only thing that I didn’t get was the “Viva Glam Nicky Lip-gloss” just because I don’t wear much lip-gloss to start with. With my purchase from this collection I got a free makeup bag that’s SO CUTE! It’s red-leopard print that I just LOVE.

Makeup bag, Lip conditioner and lipstick

Originally just wanted the lip conditioner from this collection, but then I saw that there was deal that if I got the lipstick with it, it would be cheaper. Plus I would get a CUTE makeup bag with it, and I really liked the colour. I can see Nicky Minaj wearing this colour it’s so here. I want to point out that the lip conditioner smells like vanilla (which I love), it’s so YUMMY (not for eating :p).

MAC Makeup Brushes

PERFECTLY PLUSH BRUSH KIT

This line is so cute, with the makeup brushes you get a matching makeup brush bag for the brushes (that was a MOUTH FULL!). From this line there are 3 kits; PERFECTLY PLUSH BRUSH KIT Mineralized (brushes and bag are peach), PERFECTLY PLUSH BRUSH KIT Advanced (brushes and bag pink) and the one I got PERFECTLY PLUSH BRUSH KIT Essential (brushes and bag mint-green). That’s one of the main reason I chose the Essential Kit is because it’s GREEN my FAVOURIT colour <3. However, I also needed good quality travel brushed so when I am traveling I could take them with me. The good thing about this kit is that it comes with 5 BRUSHES, where the other kits only have 4 brushes for the same price. The kit also has the main brushes that I need on a daily bases!

The Weekdays/Uni Looks

So this week I have been extremely BUSY that I didn’t have much time to come on my laptop and blog (I don’t like blogging from my phone :P). I’m so sorry if I’ve kept you waiting for my posts. Well here I am and I would LOVE to share with you my looks for this past week. All of these looks are showing you how I “normally” dress to university usually. During the winter months I like to play around and experiment with clothes more than I can do in the summer. Here in Kuwait it can get really hot and all I would want to wear is a dress or something to keep me cool. On the other hand, I still want to look my best and FASNIONABLE as much as I can!

Lady in Purple

I feel in love with purple dress the moment I laid eyes on it. Lately it seems I’ve been loving the colour purple on me :p (still green is my favourite colour!). To tell you the truth, as I was growing up I thought I will always dress formally, you know how business women dress and “classy women”. So for some odd reason, this look made me feel that this is the real me. This look made me feel like the “writer” and “politics lover” come out. When my brother saw me in this look he said “you look like a politician’s wife”. However, I love this look. ❤

Okay the pictures aren't very "lady" like :p lol

Okay the pictures aren’t very “lady” like :p

In this picture I am wearing:

  • Purple-wool dress: Cos
  • Grey scarf: Pull and Bear
  • Recycled Necklace: made from bike chains (from a flea market in Italy)
  • Black stockings: H&M
  • Bag: Chanel
  • Black leather boots: Russell and Bromley

Biker Chic

I’ve only worn these pleather pants once, so I wanted to wear them again. Though this time it was more of an edger look then the last look (press the link to see it). My mum keeps reminding me that I am young and to have fun with styles and fashion. When I was in middle school I wasn’t the kind of girl that was starting her hair and wearing lip-gloss, that all happened when I was in year 10 (10th grade) where I became more aware of fashion and all. For some reason this takes me bake to my hippie days. Hahaha I don’t know what a Bicker and a Hippie have in common, do you??

All is left is my bike, no I don't have one!

  • Jeans vest: Zara
  • Dark grey top: H&M
  • Blue and green Shahtoosh shawl
  • Hoop earring: Forever21
  • Burgundy-pleather pants: H&M
  • Black leather flat: LV

Electric WOW

My mum got me this blue top, and I just loved the colour and martial. On the back it’s a T-shirt and in the front of the top it’s silk. Another thing I love about this top that it’s longer at the back and shorter at the front. Though that I was feeling quite sick, I guess you see it through the picture. I still tried looking my best! To tell you the truth now that I look at this picture I don’t really like how I put myself together.  Like: I love the top, earrings and the shoes, but I feel there is something wrong. Do you think so? I think it’s the scarf perhaps.

BLUE! BLUE! BLUE

BLUE! BLUE! BLUE

  • Grey long-sleeved top: Zara
  • Electric-blue top: Mango
  • Black pants: Forever21
  • Black high-tops: Buffala
  • Black Shahtoosh shawl
  • Angle-wing earrings: Alexander Wang

Rocker Swagy

I first called this look “Sporty Rocker Chic”, because I was wearing my Nikes :p. Then one of my followers on Instgram mentioned that there was nothing sporty about it, that it was more “Swagy” and “Kewl”. I never really have used wither words, but “Swagy” did catch my eye and I was like “HEY THAT’S WANT I’LL CALL THE LOOK!” there you go the name was born. Some pointed out the shoes don’t match, I think it did. It brought a whole new thing to the look. What do you think?

the wind was blowing <3

Makeup Haul and Review: Sephora (Part 2)

Primers and Concealer!

photo (55)

From left to right:

  • Make up For Ever: HD High Definition Primer (Green)

There are many different primers out there for different reasons. The most famous ones are the primers that hide PORES. However due to hormones and the sun we get redness around our face, and that is when a GREEN primer becomes handy. I REALLY enjoyed using this primer under; tinted moisturizer, press-powder and concealer. It worked amazingly! Not only did it hide the redness on face but it kept my face SUPER hydrated. The plus thing about this is that a little dote goes a long way! When I run out of this product I have to RUN and get it AGAIN!! 😀

  • Sephora Concealer: Medium 07

I have so many concealers that it isn’t funny anymore :p. Anyway, I was at my friend’s house and I was applying makeup at her place, the only type of concealer she had was liquid. When I applied it under my eyes POP out more and gave more light under them. Not only that, because it was liquid it wasn’t very harsh to pat under the eyes. So when I was at Sephora I purchased a liquid concealer, it works great. Would I run to the store for this? No. Why? Because I found out that most liquid concealers do the same job that I’m looking for :P.

  • Too Faced: Shadow Insurance (anti-crease eye shadow primer)

No matter what brand of eye-shadow we are using sometimes it’s HARD to keep it in place all DAY. This is where an eye-shadow primer comes into place. I’ve been trying to get my hands on this primer for months; my local Sephora was out of stock. Now that I have it I REALLY DO LOVE IT! It works like WOW! It makes any eye-shadow true colour come out and it does prevent creasing. Another thing I found out was that it made cream eye-shadows dry FASTER! 😀

Grey Eye-shadows!

  • Sephero Eye shadow: intense black N*01  light and dark grey

Winter is here and I thought it would be nice to make a grey smoky-eye look. I wanted a grey that wasn’t matt but I didn’t want it have much glitter.  This is why I LIKED this pallet; the eye-shadows had a smooth stain finish but still a bit matt. I this grey pallet became my EVERDAY eye-shadow for winter! 😀

As I was shopping for make-up, I bumped into this SWEET glitter eye-shadows. My first insect was “I NEED TO TAKE THESE BABES HOME!” I loved the idea that in one paltte I was able to find 10 AMAZING different SUPER glittery eye-shadows that I can apply in an method to achieve any intensity of glitter I wanted. To make the glitter stand out the best method is to activate the eye-shadow with water and use a silicon make-up brush (look below). I love the quality and design of this pallet!

Early Winter Looks

These looks are from the past two weeks when winter was just about to start in Kuwait. I have been quite busy that I didn’t have much time to blog. It broke my heart to be away for this for such a long time :(. The GOOD news is, I just created a vlog channel on Youtube called LillyDoll. Right now I’ve only posted one video to create awareness for the month of Movemeber. To check out the video press this link “A Movember to Remember”. So I was busy getting things done for my vlog and trying to think what are the things that I would like to show and talk about. I hope that you enjoy my video and my upcoming videos :D.

Let me stop the rumbling! Now that I know what I want to do, I got everything sorted out, okay not everything but most things. So me let start telling you that so much will be coming your way! What I have to do is juggle school, my blog, vlog and my writings that I want to publish. I’ll pray that all goes well.

This year winter in Kuwait was a bit delayed than most years. The weather still didn’t get cold enough for us to wear “REAL” winter clothes. In the other hand it was cold enough to wear my favourite boots and pleather leggings :D. It did rain the past few days, but I didn’t go out so I sadly don’t have looks for those days :(. Anyway let me go on and show you my looks and please tell me which ones you liked BEST!

The Reception/Dinner Look

Last month my aunt had a reception, a small dinner party for her daughters because they have just came back from travel. It wasn’t a very formal thing, yet not casual at all. I wanted to dress in an elegant way but still have a trendy side to it. Although I don’t see myself as a person that takes risks in my clothes when I am invited for any kind of event, I like to stay classy. Then it came to this event, I wanted to try something new, thank to my mum that motivated me to wear this!

Wearing a puffy skirt with a lace top! One of my favorite looks ❤

In this picture I am wearing:

  • Green lace top: Zara
  • Navy-blue puffy skirt: H&M
  • Black lace tights: Mark and Spencer
  • Heels: YSL
  • Dangle crystal earrings: Swarovski
  • Small green bag: Gucci

The Formal-Casual Look

This is what you can call a Fall Look more than a Winter Look that was from a month ago. It was just a normal day of going to school with a lovely fall breeze in the air. I chose to keep my make-up looking very natural and so my hair <3. What do you think about my natural hair?? This was even the first day I wore my DKNY high-tops. They kind of did hurt my feet a first, but now that I got use to them, they are comfy as EVER. This is even the first time that I wore my Celine sunglasses, even though my mum got them for me last summer. I just didn’t know what to wear them with, so I guess there is a first time for everything :P. This look has so many first times. I did enjoy this look it was fun mixing so many styles together. I think it came out pretty nice, don’t you?

I don’t wear much stripped clothes, but this was FUN! 😀

In this picture I am wearing:

  • White and Navy-blue strip blazer: Zara
  • Purple under top: River Island
  • Dark jeans: H&M
  • Olive-green high-tops: DKNY
  • Gold necklace: Forever21
  • Burgundy bag: LV
  • Sunglass: Celine

The Rushed Casual Look

This was a fun day, not only was it the lunch H&M line Maison Martin Margiela but I even spent some quality time with my brother <3. We woke up at 6am to get ready to go to the closet mall to our house so we can go and check out H&M. First we went and had a quick breakfast at Starbucks, then we went running to H&M to wait in line. Luckily we were the 3rd group to enter the store :D. It was kind of crazy with us running around try to see what we liked, what we didn’t and what we wanted to get. I ended buying a few things from the collection, and YES I will post them SOON! It was such a LONG yet such a FUN day.

Running to H&M for their new line lunch 😀

In this picture I am wearing:

  •  Blue-floral scarf: American Eagle
  • Jeans top: Zara
  • Dark jeans: Dorothy Perkins
  • High-top sneakers: Nike
  • Beige bag: LV
  • Sunglass: Chanel

The BBQ Look

On the same day that I went to H&M for their lunch of their new collection, that night I was invited to my cousin’s place for a BBQ. It was a gathering of just us the girl cousins, it was a sweet gathering. So because I was dying to get these half-boots I HAD to wear them on that DAY. These half-boots are so comfortable, that I can walk for hours in them without complaining. That night it was quite cold and because we were setting outside we all stared rapping ourselves in blankets that my cousin was handing out. I somewhat felt like a Rocker, maybe it was because I was wearing black all over with a ripped jeans jacket :p.

BBQ with my cousins, what a lovely time ❤

In this picture I am wearing:

  • Black and gold skull scarf: Alexander McQueen
  • Light jeans jacket: New Look
  • Black top: Zara
  • Black leggings: Zara
  • Half-boots: H&M from their Maison Martin Margiela
  • Gold and white bracelets: Chanel

The Rocker-Chic Look

This is the 2nd time that I wore these half boots, I was going to university. These pants where new and I wanted to try them out. I loved how they looked and how they slimed down my legs! I felt so alive and fresh that day. The mixing of grey, black a sliver gave me such great empowerment and confidence I didn’t know I had. My makeup was left very simple that day, with just a bit of foundation, mascara, blush and a nude lip (no lipstick). Not only was this a day look that I left my makeup very simple, but I thought that the outfit was loud enough

I felt such a REBAL! I usually don’t dress like this :p

In this picture I am wearing:

  • Black blazer: Zara
  • Grey top: Mark and Spencer
  • Black and silver lace printed pants: Mark and Spencer
  • Sunglass: Chanel
  • Half-boots: H&M from their Maison Martin Margiela
  • Burgundy bag: LV
  • Long sliver key-necklace: Tiffany
  • Gold and white bracelets: Chanel

The Morning-Pleather Look

It became somewhat of a tradition that my mum, cousin and I go out for breakfast every weekend. Sometimes the breakfast would be at our house or we would go out. That day we went out to try a breakfast place called “The Breakfast Club” (I will blog about it soon). Their food was super YUMMY! Yet again these pants where new and I WANTED TO TRY THEM OUT :D! Plus even the shoes where new, one of my favourite aunts bought them for me from Germany. So I was like I should hit to birds with one stone, and I think it came out quite well. What do you think?? 😀

I love pleather! Specially during the winter time ❤

In this picture I am wearing:

  • Black scarf with silver beads: Zara
  • Grey Top: Zara
  • Burgundy pleather pants: H&M
  •  Burgundy bag: LV
  • Black high-tops: Buffala (my aunt got it for me from Germany)

So tell me what look do you like best and why? Please leave your comments down below and follow my blog. DON’T forget to watch my vlog LillyDoll and stuned for more videos coming your way. Please do suscribe to my blog and comment on the current (and only video) that I have uploaded.
