For lunch today my aunt invited me to her friend’s place for lunch. Her friend’s mum is a famous Kuwaiti writer who I had the pleasure of meeting Liyla Al Othman. I had the pleasure of setting with them over causal family lunch and talking about everyday life. It showed me that such an amazing women can be so down to earth but understands the world around her. I would like to thank her for allowing me in her home and meeting her lovely family. More so I would like to thank Aunty Sawsan for this opportunity!
This morning, my aunt picked me up to go to the salon. She took me to the salon that she usually goes to, and it’s been years she’s beengoing to it. The salon is called “Al-Jabriya Beauty Salon”; from its name you can see that the salon is located in Jabriya-Kuwait. While I was there I got a manicure, pedicure and got a hair blow-dry. My aunt got the same services I did. The service coast was like any salon I have been to, the only difference the salon did not look very modern. What I mean is that the salon does not look like the “new-fashion” salons that are around, yet they were clean. However, they did use the latest and “in-fashion” fashion products. On the other hand I was very impressed by their service!
In this picture I am wearing:

The colours are from Essie nail polish. My colour is the blue colour and it’s called “Bikini so Teeny”, and the orange colour is my aunt’s and it’s called “Cute as a Button”.

Do I love chocolate? Well yah I kind of do, but I am not a big chocoholic, I enjoy the occasion chocolate bar or chocolate cake. However, when it comes to ice-cream I would prefer vanilla because it has a mild flavour and it’s not too heavy. When it comes to cakes or cupcakes I love it more when it’s a moist vanilla cake then chocolate. What’s wired is that I like red-velvet cake more than chocolate cake, when red-velvet is just chocolate cake WITH RED DIY! Talk about sociology?!
On the other hand, when it comes to rich-EXPENSIVE chocolate I say look no further because Godiva is here. Oh I remember that day when I tried my first Godiva chocolate, it was when they opened their second store in Kuwait at 360 Mall and my mum got me a dark chocolate bar (dark chocolate is my favourite) that had raspberry filling. The first bite was haven throughout and around me! I could say that within that moment the world problems have been solved in my mind! As they say the rest became history. Today when I went out for breakfast with my Aunt she got me some Godiva chocolate because she knows my dyeing love FOR IT!
Godiva Choclate ❤
In Kuwait Godiva can be found at two either malls; 360 Mall and Al Fanar Mall.
One the first day Eid, we woke up to have the early to have the BIG Eid breakfast, then comes the afternoon and it was time for the Eid lunch. My family and I went “Taal” for some delicious Indian food. We were so hungry that we order so much FOOD!
The food was very YUMMY! I ordered chicken curry, green rice and lemon juice with minte.
Taal is located in Al Argan Complax at Al Beda Roundabo, Ta’awan Street-Salmiya-Kuwait.

As I mentioned in an earlier article “Henna Time!” I applied false eyelashes; it was one of the things I got pampered too. This is the second time that applied them, but last time they didn’t last long because I didn’t take care of them. For both of the times I got the service the eyelashes done at Beauty Image salon (the salon is not paying for these articles, I just like going there). It only took about 20 minutes to apply them and they last for 2 weeks if maintained properly. I like them they look very natural but still make a GREAT statement.
It’s like having mascra for 24/7 and you don’t get to feel them at all!
So what do you think about the eyelashes, did you ever get false eyelashes? For how long did they last?
Eid is here! I know I am a fashion blogger but still I have to write about Eid. After all Eid is all about NEW clothes YUMMY food which is what my blog is really all about :D. However the most important side of Eid are the family gathering and the connecting time, for me AT LAST I GET TO HAVE BREAKFAST! The Breakfast Eid is very important to my family, I wake up to the smell of omelettes to freshly baked bread in the morning, it the best feeling! But come one we all can’t wait to get money from our relatives!! Life at its best you think?? I say you’re never too old or even young for that 3idya!
Enjoy your new clothes, your Eid breakfasts and lunches. Have fun with your family and friends.
So today I went back to Beauty Image salon to get my last minute pampering for Eid. While I was there I got my hair blow-dried and added false eyelashes (will be mention on a later blog). What amazed me while I was there was the amount of girls coming in to get Henna on their hands for Eid. I liked that still there are people that still keep this tradition and take it seriously, but what amazed me more was the amount of women who came in to get Henna hand tattoos and brought their daughters with them. It makes me happy to see that this tradition is a life and well, but now it has a modern twist! 😀
Here are some pictures of Henna hand tattoos:
Just to make things clear, these Henna tatoo desgines where not taken in the salon.
Eid is knocking on the door and we have to get ready. Girls and even boys are now doing their last minute shopping andpreparation for Eid.The exiting thing about Eid for me is that, salons all over Kuwait are filled with girls pampering themselves for Eid. Getting our hairs done, nails varnished and grooming ourselves! Girls rush to call salons book appointments on last minute notices, where some salons make a policy “first come first served”, the rush is everywhere. The salons are open long hours to serve their long waiting customers, and the day before Eid, some salons are open 24/7 to serve their highly demanding customer lines (good day to open a “one day salon”!).
The salon that I went to today is called “Beauty Image” and it’s located in Kuwait-Jabriy. This wasn’t my first time there. Let me tell you a quick story about how I came to this salon and became their loyal customer. It was 3 days before my best-friend’s wedding and I needed to get my nails done, eyebrows reshaped and so much more. I booked an appointment to this salon which now I am an X-customer of and it’s even located in Jabriya. They had my appointment all mixed up and they were very rude about it! I left that salon walking around trying to look for a salon that would take me on a last minute notice, and there was Beauty Images! They had (and still have) an amazing service and I paid half the price for all the services that I wanted that I would usually pay double the price for!

I went to the salon with two of my nieces (their mum is my cousin). One of my nieces and I had hair treatments, I had the “Bamboo-Hair-Treatment” (which is an oil) and she had the “Caviar-Hair-Treatment” (which is a cream). I did both upper and lower lip waxing and threading, where I even got a manicure and pedicure with nail polish. I really like the smell of the “Bamboo-Hair-Treatment” that I did, I feel it gave my hair more shine and the texture of my hair is much softer. My niece’s “Caviar-Hair-Treatment” made her hair seem fuller and the ends of her hair are less dry. Next month I think I will try the “Caviar-Hair-Treatment” myself and see how it works for me!
The Bamboo-Hair Treatment that I tried and I really liked. The hairdresser said that its best results would be shown if done weekly, where the caviar should be done monthly.
This week’s colour is an Essie salmon colour that is called “Tart Deco” I really like this colour. Something new for a new holiday!
I wanted to share this CUTE toe-separator that Beauty Image uses!
